Overview: My third amiibo in my personal collection, Sonic has certainly made himself a contender among my amiibos. He's consistently my top ten and usually manages to go far in my tournaments. In terms of wins/loses, he's right under Luigi, which is really saying something despite their numbers being pretty far.
Observations: I am told that Sonic isn't typically considered a good amiibo. However, in my experience, he's better than Game & Watch, Villager, and even Pit. Despite this, he does have a few notable flaws. If you're not careful, he can be spammy with his forward air and back throw. Something I've notice him do is back throw the wrong way at ledge. My personal Sonic also struggles with killing. For some reason, he'll think his best kill move is spin-dash. Spoiler alert, it's not. Still, you can always rely on forward smash to get the job done. Though my personal Sonic doesn't tend to do this, some will try to use up-throw to neutral B, which doesn't work.
