Luigi

Name: [Memes]

Overview: Luigi is the O.G. of our amiibos. I bought him in late July of 2015 as mostly a joke. Hell, I didn't even buy the Smash version of him, I bought the Super Mario 3D world. I was that clueless. I had no idea what proper training was or even how amiibos worked in general when I bought him. So he grew to level fifty in one night when I had a few of my friends over. So basically, his training was being put in eight player matches, against other characters (so no mirror matching) and put on stages like Temple with Smash Ball on low. And if you read any other training guide, this is not how traditional training works.
But for whatever reason, Luigi is one of my best amiibo and has truly made his presence known among the ones I currently have. He was my top amiibo for a while until Dr. Mario came along. Even so, he's been consistently around my top 5. Beating him, in my opinion, is a rite of passage for my amiibo. He separates the men from the boys.

Observations: I think the best way to describe my Luigi is self-aware. He knows how to recover with his down-special (though he can easily be punished for doing so). He'll do down throw to double foward-air, which can really rack up damage at low percents. He knows his kill moves, and even figured out how to misfire (again, if he misses, it's easily punishable). The most astounding thing though, is that he'll edge guard with his down taunt! I have yet to see an amiibo do something similar to this, which is why I regard him as self-aware.
